Embody Empowered Presence

A few strategies for embodying empowered presence: 

  • Allow yourself to take up space. Increase length, depth, height of your body
  • Notice when you’re holding your breath. We hold our breath when we are anxious or stuck. Breathing through these moments will reduce stress
  • Avoid shallow “chest breathing.” This will rob you of the support you need for a strong voice
  • Find your center of gravity. For a sense of groundedness, whether you’re sitting or standing
  • If you find yourself mentally “freezing,” move physically and you’ll become “unstuck”
