A platform for self-discovery that opens new opportunities and inspires and empowers women in their professional and personal life.Director-Finance Operations, Verizon Telecom

Companies rely on women leaders as crucial contributors. But do they know how best to support, retain, and encourage them? The Rutgers Executive Leadership Program for Women has become a key development tool for employers committed to cultivating top female talent.

This glass ceiling initiative provides candidates with an impressive range of programs and research through the Rutgers Institute for Women’s Leadership and Center for Women and Work. Now in its twelfth year, the Executive Leadership Program continues to expand its network of accomplished women across the Fortune 500.

Participants attend a series of workshops and symposia over the course of six months at the Rutgers Institute for Women’s Leadership in New Brunswick, New Jersey. With the help of “best in class” executive coaches, they formulate clear strategies to immediately put their insights into practice back on the job. Through leadership assessment, focused training, and networking events with proven leaders, participants explore the business challenges most critical to leaders today:

  • Leading change with strategy and vision
  • Increasing visibility, influence, and presence
  • Managing stress
  • Building high performance teams
  • Balancing work and personal responsibilities
  • Using new research in neuroscience to engage and inspire

Throughout the program, Executive Leadership members hone their skills while coaching one another in peer Success Circles®. Participants find these sessions so valuable that most continue to meet long after the program ends.

Measurable Results

Graduates report that this initiative has helped them advance further, faster and with greater clarity about their contributions. They rate themselves as better equipped to lead change, more motivated and resourceful, and better able to withstand increasingly intense pressures at work and at home. 100% rate the Rutgers Executive Leadership Program for Women as a significant return on investment.
