DIRECTOR OF DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION OFFERING
Walter Manley brings unrivaled gifts as a motivational speaker and diversity specialist to his role as Director of The Next Level’s Diversity & Inclusion offerings, and has played a key role in developing the firm’s pioneering work on microinequities. Walter has an extensive background in organization development, coaching, cross cultural dynamics and human resource strategic planning. He has designed and facilitated training programs for corporations and entities as varied as AT&T, Chase Manhattan Bank, the New York City Department of Human Resources Administration and the City University of New York. Internationally, his work includes the design of cross cultural employability programs for immigrants entering the Italian workforce for the Italian government and five years in West Africa as training consultant to the Peace Corps and the U.S. Agency for International Development. As founder and president of the Workplace Literacy Foundation of America, Inc., he has designed and delivered social literacy and employability skills training programs for the New York State Departments of Employment and Labor, the YMCA, the Boy Scouts of America, I Have a Dream Foundation, and the Girls Club of America.
He holds a License es Lettres degree in Literature and Ethnology from the Sorbonne, University of Paris. He studied Hispanic Civilization at the University of Valencia, Spain, and African Languages and Linguistics at the University of Dakar, Senegal, West Africa. Walter is the first Faculty Scholar at the Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics.
