Spilling a Client Secret
I'm doing something I never do: spilling a client secret. The kind of thing people only tell their coach. Leaders who’re thriving are having fun.
"Lucia, I’m having fun," they admit in hushed tones, shocking themselves. As if they’re asking, “Can I say that out loud? While others are struggling?”
I say: You ought to be. I say: You've developed a powerful mindset.
Sharing this may be the best possible way to support those struggling.
Show me a leader thriving today, and I'll show you a person who's into the toughest parts. It’s when they get to test themselves, apply themselves, and develop themselves.
Seeing hard things as fun takes a shift from a "fixed" to a "growth" mindset, where self-worth is unquestioned and self-development is sought.
